President's Message
Dear Members
Happy New Year to you all! First of all, I would like to
congratulate all members throughout the UK who have been elected at a local,
regional or national level, and all other members who have committed to
ensuring that 2009 will be a year of activity and growth in JCI UK.
We are fast approaching the first National Event of 2009, Inspiration Day on
17th January which promises to be inspirational and creative. The good news
is that you can still attend Inspiration Day even if you aren’t a member!!
Why not bring you’re friends or colleagues along and experience what JCI is
all about? To book on-line, please go to
www.jcibarnsleyevents.eventbrite.com As 2009 is all about
Active Citizenship, I decided to hit the ground running and I’m delighted to
confirm that JCI UK is meeting with various external organisations this
month including The Princes Trust and the UN Global Compact. Further
details will follow but we hope to capitalise on these relationships
resulting in mutual benefits. JCI UK hopes to strategically launch
a number of new local chambers during this year to grow the membership
further. With help and support of current members this project will be
very successful – watch this space! I hope to see you all at
Inspiration Day and wish you all the best for 2009. Let’s get Active!!
